OASIQ's 2024 Outdoor Outlook

Despite the crisp chill in the air, the great outdoors continue to beckon. Design lovers everywhere are navigating the winter months by sprucing up their backyards, patios, rooftop gardens, decks and more—readying their outdoor retreats in preparation for the warmer months ahead.Below, we’ve rounded up some gorgeous pieces from outdoor living brand OASIQ that fit into the hottest trends influencing outdoor living and/or the design of outdoor spaces. From layouts that encourage camaraderie and interaction, to fearless applications of color and pattern, and finally, pieces that increase the livable footprint by providing a seamless transition from indoors to out—OASIQ has everything for exceptional outdoor living.

SPACES THAT INSPIRE CONNECTION

According to The American Society of Interior Designers's “ASID 2024 Trends Outlook,” an overarching trend that will impact design has to do with Generation Z. The first fully digitally native generation, Gen Z has been subjected to a unique set of experiences that have left them with a need for genuine, in-person connections. With the isolation of the pandemic, this generation is more attuned to forming deep, meaningful relationships. They aren’t the only ones either, the report also shared that various other generations are also “seeking camaraderie and comfort in spaces that foster a sense of community and connection.” In OASIQ’s Limited 200 Collection, the chic and curvy 215–CE Sectional instills a sense of relaxation and comfort in proximity. BLURRED LINES: INDOOR / OUTDOOR LIVING

A common theme in the last few years, the blurring of lines between indoors and out has led to an increased need for outdoor furniture that looks just as good as its indoor counterparts. That equals high end, durable, and weather resistant materials with forms that match or surpass the functional aspect of the designs. OASIQ’s Copenhagen collection, imagined by Meneghello Paolelli Associati, is not only made of high-performance, solution-dyed rope and naturally weather-resistant teak, but the wood’s close-grained nature and large number of minerals and natural oils renders it very low maintenance. Its elegant lines make it perfect for both indoors and out.

ADVENTUROUS COLORS AND PATTERNS

The all-neutral, greige everything is a thing of the past—indoors and out. Color and custom options are back in a big way—and it’s already looking like a brighter future. While bold colors and patterns continue to rise in popularity, pastels and soft neutrals were already having their moment in 2023. OASIQ—which specializes in modern outdoor furniture—offers products in a variety of pastels and vibrant colors, from soft greens and pinks to bold terracotta hues, sunny yellows, and dark green colorways. They also offer customers the ability to fully customize each design—including with a slew of vibrant solids and dynamic graphic patterns such as is shown on the brand’s Coco collection of chairs.
